Router & Antenna Sample Setup
Most of the mobile internet products sold by MobileMustHave are based around this classic setup - an interior cellular embedded router with an exterior antenna for getting better cellular and/or Wi-Fi signal. This is a popular setup chosen by many of our members.
Exterior antennas will be mounted to the roof of your RV, on a pole, on a radar arch or up a mast. Wires will need to be run to the interior router.
RoutersThe router is where your modem(s) and local area networking occurs, providing connectivity to your interior devices.
Cellular CarriersA cellular carrier provides an internet connection over the same technology used for placing phone calls over a mobile phone. Choosing your carriers is a critical part of your setup based on their coverage and available data plans.

Wi-Fi as WANUsing another Wi-Fi network as your source of internet is called 'WiFi as WAN'. For instance you might utilize your campground or marina's Wi-Fi network as one of your mobile internet options. Many routers have this feature built in.

MobileMustHave Bundles
MobileMustHave has put together bundles of popular routers and antennas they sell that include a choice of antenna, data plan, DC power and remote setup & training. The bundles generally represent a savings over purchasing individually (plus our members get a discount on top of the bundled price). While this makes easy one-stop shopping - we still recommend doing some research to make sure you pick the right solution for your needs.
Here's our analysis of the bundles they offer with our recommendations. Keeping in mind, most of our audience tends to have higher demanding needs.
Paired with either the Peplink MAX Transit Duo Pro with dual LTE modems or Peplink MAX BR2 Pro 5G with dual 5G modem - for increased redundancy of having two cellular connections active at once.
The MAX Transit Duo Pro comes with a combo of a Cat-7 and Cat-12 modem for maximum carrier compatibility & performance and a more future proofed router chassis (1 Gbps router throughput and Wi-Fi 6).
The MAX BR2 Pro 5G has the same Pro chassis but comes with dual 5G X55 modems for 5G performance, as well as dual Ethernet ports and USB tethering port.
These bundles give you different options for pairing with an exterior roof mounted antenna.
The antennas options are more optimized for RV roof installation and are all intended for a 4x4 MIMO modem. However, each modem within this router are only 2x2 MIMO, so the leads will be split into two pairs.
Of the antennas offered with the Transit, we have a preference for the Peplink Mobility 42G or MobileMark with the dual modem setup. MobileMustHave also has introduced their 'Insider' bundle option which includes our top rated Parsec Akita antenna with specially paired shorter cables. Great for interior installations without drilling through a roof.
The MAX Transit Duo Pro comes with a combo of a Cat-7 and Cat-12 modem for maximum carrier compatibility & performance and a more future proofed router chassis (1 Gbps router throughput and Wi-Fi 6).
The MAX BR2 Pro 5G will need a total of 8 antennas, and is offered with the Parsec Pyrenees - the only 8 antenna option currently on the market.
The Parsec Husky & Pyrenees, while great performing antennas - has some compromises when the antennas are split between two modems due to its internal construction. It'll work well in most cases, but definitely carefully match the antenna leads as recommended by the manufacturer.
Not included as a bundle option, but might be worth consideration is the Peplink Maritime 40G or Poynting 402. Another approach that can be more effective is a dual 2x2 or 4x4 MIMO antenna setup, or 4/8 individual antennas - if you have the installation flexibility. When considering the Ultimate Road Warrior versus the Speed Demon bundles - you'll be weighing the trade-offs of the increased redundancy of two embedded modems versus one.
It's not a straight forward answer for most. Head on over to our reviews of the MAX Transit or MAX BR1 Pro 'Deep Dive' sections for more considerations and a video on this topic.
There are two Speed Demon bundles, both with the MAX BR1 Pro 5G. This is a next generation router with lots of advanced local area networking features like Wi-Fi 6, 2.5 Gbps Ethernet ports and 1 Gbps router throughput. This chassis gives the advanced modem options available a platform to really perform into the future.
The MAX BR1 Pro is available in both a 5G model and a Cat-20 LTE option (which is the pinnacle of LTE technology).
We advise anyone considering the 5G model become aware of the current state of 5G, and that the X55 modem chipset used in this model will likely prompt an upgrade within a year or two to keep up with the rapidly evolving nature of 5G.
The first bundle option is the Speed Demon 5G, which comes with the following antenna options: Parsec Husky, Peplink Mobility 42G or MobileMark with a single 4x4 modem setup.
These bundles give you different options for pairing with a exterior roof mounted antenna, as all three antenna options are more optimized for RV roof installation.
Not included as a bundle option, but might be worth consideration is the Parsec Akita, Peplink Maritime 40G or Poynting 402. An approach of Dual 2x2 MIMO antennas, or 4 individual antennas can also yield great results. Our Selecting Cellular Antennas guide goes further into the considerations.
The other bundle option is Speed Demon with Starlink, which comes with the Starlink Flat High Performance Antenna.

There are two Full Timer bundles - Full Timer VR3 or Full Timer with Starlink.
The Full Timer VR3 bundles comes with the Peplink MAX BR1 Mini, which features a Cat-7 modem that includes coverage for some key frequency bands, like T-Mobile’s Band 71 and AT&T’s Band 14.
There are four antenna options with this bundle - the Parsec Doberman, Peplink Mobility 22G, Mobile Mark LTMG 508, or Poynting 5-in-1 antennas. Of these, the Peplink Mobility 22G would be our top choice with this router. If you are considering upgrading your router in the future, we suggest you upgrade to the Peplink Mobility 42G.
The Full Timer with Starlink bundle comes with the Peplink Balance 20X router, paired with the Starlink Flat High Performance Dish.
