Winegard has a great reputation as a leading provider of both satellite and over-the-air TV antennas designed for RV use.

Over the past few years, Winegard has branched out to also offer long-range Wi-Fi and roof-mounted cellular via its ConnecT and ConnecT 2.0 products, but RV manufacturers have been hesitant to add yet another major component to already crowded RV roofs.
So why not combine things - and hide the cellular and Wi-Fi antennas under the same dome as the TV antenna?
That is the core idea behind Winegard's Air 360+, a product designed to offer an amplified TV antenna for RV manufacturers to build onto new RVs - but with an easy router upgrade path to allow RV owners to simply add cellular and Wi-Fi connectivity as well, without needing to drill any additional holes or pull additional wires to tap into the antennas on the roof.
Additionally, when the Air360+ system is OEM prewired, a separate switched power cable is also run to the ceiling location to provide dedicated power for the router upgrade - the dome itself doesn't use or require power. Since the Air360+ system also supports OTA TV, there is also a TV cable that is run to a completely different location - either a switch box, TV location, or a tech/media cabinet.
The Air360+ system is not just a simple rooftop dome with antennas. Installing it requires running cables to and from at least three separate locations in the RV. This cabling complexity is a big reason why this system is usually installed by manufacturers since aftermarket and DIY Air360+ installations can be difficult.

In November 2021, Winegard came out with a "v2.S" version of the rooftop antenna unit. The only difference is the shell design and the addition of a coaxial port on the side to hook up a rooftop satellite TV dish.
But while the Air 360+ has a lot to offer when combined with a plug-and-play router addon, it does have some limitations that are very important to fully understand.
AIR 360+ & Router Combo

The AIR 360+ comes packaged as an over-the-air TV reception device installed on the roof of an RV.
Of interest to the nomad community, the AIR 360+ dome houses 1 Wi-Fi antenna and 2 cellular antennas, which can be used if you also purchase a Winegard GW-1000 Gateway Router or a WiFiRanger Osprey router.
The AIR 360+ is not designed to be used with routers other than these two options. The Air 360+ allows the Gateway Router to be installed in two locations; inside the dome of the antenna or on the ceiling of the RV depending on how the Air 360+ was prewired. In most cases, the wiring for the router is configured for installation on an RV ceiling. The Osprey router is not designed to mount inside the dome.
The Winegard Gateway Router
The Winegard Gateway Router supports the AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon networks with an LTE Cat-4 modem. However, the supported LTE bands are minimal and best used for AT&T and Verizon.
The unit can be operated via an app called the Winegard Connect App, which allows you to check on the health of the system, switch between internet sources, buy more data (if using a Winegard data package), and provides a few more basic control options.
WiFiRanger Osprey Gateway Router

WiFiRanger was acquired by Winegard in August 2020 and the Osprey represents the first major product collaboration. The Osprey was released in January 2022.
The WiFiRanger Osprey, like the Winegard Gateway, is specifically designed for the Air 360+ and is not intended to operate as a standalone router.
The Osprey comes with an LTE Cat-6 or optional Cat-12 modem and utilizes the same software as other WiFiRanger products.

Product Variations
When this product came out, Winegard said they were planning a new Gateway version with a slightly improved cellular modem with LTE Band 14 and Band 71 support that will be certified for T-Mobile as well as for AT&T and Verizon. In early 2020 they did proceed with this upgrade in the ConnecT 2.0. We still don't have confirmation and as of early 2022, the Winegard website still shows the specs for the older modem, which is reflected in our specs below. But it is likely current Gateway units do have the updated modem replacement since they are now claiming T-Mobile support.
Winegard offers a few data plan options, called FreedomGo Plans: Winegard also permits owners to also use their own eligible AT&T, Verizon, or T-Mobile SIM card with a data plan in the device. We received an Air 360+ and a Cat-6 Osprey for evaluation from WiFiRanger in January 2022 and tested this system for usability and cellular and Wi-Fi performance. Mobile routers are different from residential routers in that they typically support multiple internet sources like cellular and Wi-Fi, can be powered off of 12v or AC and support external antenna for better receiving signal. But you might not need a router in your setup. Here's a quick video overview the variety that routers come in: For more on learning about mobile routers and how they might fit in your setup, follow up with our educational resources:Winegard Gateway
