T-Mobile officially launched the Starlink-powered T-Satellite service back in July 2025 with basic text messaging, then expanded the service with data for many popular apps in October.
T-Satellite is a service agreement between the two companies where Starlink satellites provide basic cellular coverage from space in areas beyond T-Mobile's coverage map.
But this was limited to the continental US, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, and parts of Alaska - until now.
Starlink has penned similar agreements with cellular companies in many other countries around the globe, including Rogers in Canada and One NZ in New Zealand. T-Mobile has now expanded its roaming agreement with both providers to include satellite coverage. This allows T-Mobile's T-Satellite customers to use the service in both Canada and NZ.
And the agreements are reciprocal, so Canadians with Rogers Satellite service can roam onto T-Satellite in the US.
T-Mobile's coverage map now shows this new coverage, with T-Satellite available in Canada up to the 58th parallel.

T-Satellite service is included on T-Mobile's top-tier smartphone plans for both business and consumer customers, or as a $10/month add-on for other T-Mobile plans. Non-T-Mobile customers can get T-Satellite with a compatible phone that supports eSIM.
Key Mobile Internet Related Considerations:
- T-Mobile expanded roaming agreements with Rogers in Canada and One NZ in New Zealand to include Starlink-provided supplemental cellular coverage
- The satellite coverage is low-bandwidth, meant to provide basic service in areas with terrestrial cellular coverage
- The agreements are reciprocal, so Canadians who have Rogers service can access the supplemental satellite coverage while in the US
