RoamLink's big advantage of offering a single multi-carrier system of plans remains, which allows users to get access to Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile on a single plan.
RoamLink plans can be activated on compatible Peplink routers, and for members - in any compatible device.
How do these new plans compare to the previous ones? Let's dig into the details...

New RoamLink Data Plan Lineup
The new lineup is organized into five plan categories:
- Core - Tiered data plans ranging from 20 to 100 GB of data per month.
- Flex - Tiered data plans that allow data rollover and top-ups, ranging from 20 to 100 GB per month.
- Infinity - Unlimited data plan, equivalent to the original RoamLink Unlimited plan.
- Velocity - Unlimited data plans that come with a 50 or 100 GB bucket of high-priority data that can be toggled on and off as needed.
- Pocket - An eSIM backup plan for eSIM-capable unlocked smartphones with 5, 10, or 20 GB options.
RoamLink Data Plan Details
Across each new plan category, several aspects of RoamLink plans remain the same. Here's a quick review of how RoamLink plans work.
The first is multi-carrier access, which is what RoamLink is best known for.
Roamlink has access to AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon
Roamlink also includes USCellular, though it is now part of T-Mobile and is being integrated into the T-Mobile network.
A big advantage is that you can manually switch to a different carrier if running a RoamLink plan on a Peplink router.
For non-Peplink devices, RoamLink selects the carrier in the background, typically based on signal quality. Though customers can contact RoamLink support to steer to a specific carrier.
Secondly, all plans run on RoamLink's own private core network before hitting the main Internet backbone.
This enables RoamLink to intelligently optimize connections for better speed and reliability and to support additional features, such as higher-priority levels.
Essentially, the carriers only provide the "radio layer" of a RoamLink connection and cannot see your specific device or data type. This also means RoamLink customers are not subject to network management, throttling, or other usage policies imposed by individual carriers. Instead, RoamLink handles congestion management according to its own criteria.
Here are RoamLink's general network management terms:
RoamLink Wireless reserves the right to manage bandwidth and network resources to ensure the health and performance of the network and to protect access to all customers. This may include, but is not limited to, managing the bandwidth used by streaming services or other high-bandwidth services. RoamLink Wireless customers who use over 500GB per month may experience reduced speeds.
RoamLink plans are also for use in the US only - international data is not currently available.
Another downside to RoamLink is higher latency. While the RoamLink private core comes with some advantages, one downside is typically 25-90ms higher latency than a native carrier connection. While this is usually not a problem for most use cases, it can be impactful for some things that require low latency, like many types of online gaming.
Finally, RoamLink plans remain no-contract, pay-as-you-go, with the ability to pause or cancel at any time.
One thing to be aware of is that these are introductory prices, so prices may increase in the future.
MobileMustHave Explore Members (which includes a membership to this site, direct MIA members can seamlessly upgrade) also do a get a discount off of these plans. Inquire with them for details on how to apply that, as at press time they were still working on implementation.
Here's a deeper dive into each new option:
Core Plans
The Core plans are basic, tiered data options for those who don't need unlimited data. There are three plan options with monthly terms:
- 20 GB - $29
- 50 GB - $49
- 100 GB - $89
Data on these plans does not rollover.
On tiered-data plans, once the allotment is exhausted, speeds will be throttled to 512 kbps. There is no option to buy additional data, but customers can upgrade to a different plan if they need more data.
Flex Plans
Flex plans take the Core plans and adds data rollover at a modest price increase.
- 20 GB - $34
- 50 GB - $59
- 100 GB - $99
Any unused data from your monthly bucket is automatically rolled over for up to 3 months. This allows you to bank data during months when you don't use the full allotment, which can be great for those with spiky usage patterns or for some types of seasonal travelers.
Customers can also add data via the RoamLink portal if needed for $2/GB, an option that is not available on the Core plans.
Infinity Plan
The Infinity option is a single, unlimited data plan for $165/month.
This is essentially the replacement for the previous RoamLink Unlimited plan, which was priced at $169. It's designed for general, everyday Internet use, particularly for those who need more monthly data than a tiered plan provides.
There are no hard data caps, but as noted above, there is a 500 GB threshold after which customers may see reduced speeds. For unlimited plans, RoamLink also has these terms:
Customers on an unlimited rate plan with a daily average of over 20GB for any 7-day period may be asked to adjust their device settings and usage to ensure Roamlink Wireless is able maintain quality service for all customers. Usage this high is not common, and represents less than 2% of our customer base. Customers exceeding this daily average may be contacted by our Support Department to discuss mutually agreeable solutions to ensure network performance for all of our customers.
Velocity Plans
The Velocity plans take the Infinity plan and add on a bucket of high-priority data:
- 50 GB - $179
- 100 GB - $199
The bucket of high-speed data essentially removes any network management for the fullest possible speeds. This unique option can be activated when needed and then turned off - unlike other plans that use up any included priority data first.
This allows you to save the highest priority data for when you need it - perhaps to meet a deadline, broadcast a video presentation or attend a high priority video conference.
The feature will also automatically turn off after 24 hours to prevent accidental priority data drain.
Once the bucket of priority data is used up, there is no option to purchase more, but customers will still have unlimited data with RoamLink's standard terms.
Pocket Plans
Pocket plans are eSIM-only options designed for compatible, unlocked mobile devices that support eSIM activation, primarily smartphones. They are intended to provide some extra or backup data while on the go.
- 5 GB - $10
- 10 GB - $15
- 20 GB - $29
One important limitation is that Pocket plans only available standalone to MMH members. Otherwise they are sold as an add-on plan for customers that already have one of the other RoamLink plans.
This is a data-only option, with no voice or texting included.
But they can be activated as needed and are a great way to get multi-network data access affordably on a smartphone to complement your primary lines of service.
Old Plans Grandfathered
MobileMustHave told us that the previous plans will not be offered for new signups, but existing customers will be grandfathered, and their plans will remain active until they cancel or move to a different plan.
Existing customers should take a look at the new lineup, as terms and pricing may be better than their current plan.
Concluding Thoughts
When MobileMustHave first launched RoamLink back in August of 2024, we noted that this was a great option for Peplink users and designated it a Top Pick.
MMH has continued to innovate with its RoamLink lineup, and this new plan revamp includes many flexible options that address most use cases our diverse mobile audience needs - everything from extra phone data up to unlimited options with priority data for working nomads.
RoamLink plans can be used with a wide variety of gear beyond Peplink routers, but only for those in the MobileMustHave Explore Membership program. For example, in our Netgear M7 mobile hotspot testing, we activated a RoamLink eSIM plan on the M7, and it works great.
RoamLink offers much more flexibility and options than most other multi-carrier plans (such as TravlFi, HomeFi, Solis, and more), which are usually tied to low-end gear and offer fewer plan options with more restrictions.
The new RoamLink lineup improves on their previous plans and remains one of our Top Pick data plans.
