MobileMustHave has announced a new Bring Your Own Device option for its RoamLink data plans.
Previously, RoamLink was primarily available through supported Peplink routers, either purchased or rented through MobileMustHave. With this BYOD update, customers who already have a compatible hotspot, cellular router, or supported phone now have a way to start using RoamLink without buying new hardware first.
The main thing to keep in mind is that customer-owned devices still need to meet RoamLink compatibility requirements, and not every hotspot, router, or phone will be supported.
For the best experience, RoamLink recommends using a Cat 7 or higher hotspot device or cellular router. Older or lower-end devices may work in some cases, but they may not deliver the full RoamLink experience.
RoamLink's Pocket plans were already designed for phone-based eSIM use, but this update expands phone support beyond Pocket plans to other eligible RoamLink plans. Phones can be useful for backup or light use, but they are still not recommended as a primary full-time RV internet connection.
Key Points:
- RoamLink now supports Bring Your Own Device activations on eligible plans.
- Compatible hotspots, cellular routers, and supported phones can now be used.
- Device compatibility requirements still apply.
- A Cat 7 or higher hotspot or cellular router is recommended for the best experience.
