Starlink frequently changes things up, although not always in big ways. Three recent changes have added more flexibility for changing plans, revised the Privacy Policy language, and introduced a 24/7 customer support number.
For plan changes, Starlink users can now choose to switch the current plan immediately or wait until the next billing cycle, whether upgrading or downgrading.

Upgrading and selecting "Now" activates the new plan right away with a prorated charge for the remainder of the billing period. Downgrading and selecting "Now" also takes effect immediately, but any remaining value on the higher-priced plan is forfeited. Choosing to wait keeps your current plan active until your next billing date. Starlink's Service Plan Changes FAQ has the full details.
Starlink also updated its Privacy Policy to state that certain account and usage data may be used for AI model training and shared with third-party collaborators, unless subscribers choose to opt out. Customers can opt out in the account settings or mobile app.
Finally, Starlink is now offering a 24/7 customer support number in supported regions, including the US, expanding its previous app-only ticket-based support system. Starlink says, "This service is currently in a trial phase and is only for Starlink customers who are dealing with connection issues." It is not intended for general support questions, which must still use the ticket system, at least for now. The support number is 1-866-606-5103.
