Key points:
- Starlink has quietly adjusted its $50 Roam plan to include 100GB of high-speed data, up from 50GB.
- After the 100GB is used up, the plan switches to unlimited data at slow speeds.
- It appears that Starlink's holiday promotions on Mini and Standard dishes have also expired; new regular pricing is $299 for Mini and $349 for Standard.
Starlink is well known for sudden, unannounced changes to its terms and plan lineup, and today it is true to form by quietly rolling out a new Roam 100GB plan for $50/month in some markets, including the USA, replacing the 50GB version.

Roam 100GB
Today, we started to see reports of Starlink offering a Roam 100GB plan for $50/month. The Roam 50GB at the same price is no longer available for switching to or for new activations, except in select markets.
Aside from doubling the amount of high-speed data (defined as speeds up to 300 Mbps) included for the same $50/month price, Starlink is now automatically switching the plan to unlimited use at low speeds for the rest of the billing period. They say these speeds are suitable for basic e-mail, calls and TXT messages.
Update: Starlink updated the Roam 100GB plan description to the following:
"Once you reach this limit, you will receive unlimited low-speed (< 1 Mbps ) data for the remainder of your billing cycle. Low-speed data is not suitable for bandwidth-intensive applications like streaming, video calls, gaming, or similar activities."
A throttle of up to 1 Mbps is quite usable and is twice the speed of Starlink's Standby Mode at 500 kbps.
Starlink is no longer offering the option to purchase extra high-speed data by the GB once the 100GB is used up. Previously, additional high-speed data could be purchased at $1/GB, or service was shut off entirely. Those desiring more data will need to switch to Roam Unlimited for $165/month.
The plan retains all other existing mobility features, including roaming on land and land use worldwide (up to 2 months outside your home country).
Existing Roam 50GB Users?

Current Roam 50GB customers in markets with the new 100GB plan are being automatically transitioned to it at the same price. Many have reported getting an email about the transition.
Holiday Promotions Expired
While double-checking this new plan, we also noticed that Starlink's holiday promotions on the Mini and Standard dishes seem to have quietly expired.
The new regular pricing seems to now be $299 for Mini (originally launched at $599, and then we've seen steady reductions) and $349 for Standard (originally launched at $499).
Concluding Thoughts
Starlink seems to have recognized that occasional users can benefit from more data, so it's great to see the data doubled on the $50/month plan. Starlink states that 100GB should be sufficient for about a week of normal use.
It is unfortunate, however, that the flexibility to add additional data inexpensive data at $1/GB as needed has gone away, but unlimited data at low speeds is a nice compromise.
