AT&T is once again increasing prices on older wireless plans. AT&T published the details in new support articles, with the price increases going into effect in April 2026.
First up, retired unlimited plans will increase by $10/month for single-line accounts or $20/month total for multi-line accounts. This is a per-account increase, not per-line.
Additionally, older Unlimited Your Way smartphone lines will increase by $5/month per line. Affected lines are those active before July 24, 2025.
AT&T is also raising prices on legacy Mobile Share plans by $5/month for plans under 6GB and $10/month for plans with 6GB or more.
Affected customers do get a little something in return on some plans, with AT&T adding 20GB of hotspot data to older, retired unlimited smartphone lines and 10GB more to Unlimited Your Way lines.
T-Mobile, meanwhile, is reportedly extending its $35 device connection charge to phones and devices purchased directly from Apple, closing off one way customers had avoided the charge.
Customers have been able to purchase directly from Apple and still get T-Mobile promotions, receive an unlocked phone, and avoid the $35 fee, but the fee will now be applied. The fee started appearing in carts for online orders on March 17th, but will reportedly not be actually charged to customers until March 27th.
