Today, Peplink adds another variation to their Antenna MAX line with the Antenna MAX Duo.
Similar to the original Antenna MAX (our story), the MAX Duo is a roof mounted Antenna Enclosure that allows you to mount the router inside the enclosure to help eliminate long expensive cable runs and antenna loss.
The Duo in the name signifies that this version adds in a 2nd set of 4x4 MIMO cellular antennas doubling the cellular connectivity over the original Antenna MAX.
The Antenna MAX Duo features 8x8 MIMO cellular antennas, 2x2 Wi-Fi antennas, and a GPS antenna.
The Antenna MAX Duo can house a single flagship Peplink BR2 pro with dual 5G cellular modems, 2x BR1 Pro 5G cellular routers together or a BR1 Mini 5G + BR1 Pro 5G router together.
The Antenna MAX Duo can be powered by a single Ethernet cable. For dual router setups, the optional Splitter MAX must be installed inside the housing and is used to power both routers simultaneously. This minimizes the cables that need to be run to the Antenna MAX Duo and keeps a very clean install.
The Antenna MAX Duo has a MSRP of $799 making it over twice the price of the original Antenna MAX at $349.
Key Mobile Internet Related Considerations:
- The Antenna MAX Duo is a roof-mounted enclosure with integrated 8x8 MIMO cellular, 2x2 Wi-Fi, and GPS antennas.
- The weatherproof enclosure has space to mount one dual modem router or 2x single modem routers eliminating the need for long and expensive antenna cables running indoors.
- A single Ethernet cable provides a power and data connection and the Splitter MAX can be added for dual router setups.
- Eliminating antenna cables can substantially improve the quality and strength of a cellular signal, particularly on high-frequency bands.
