DSDS (Dual SIM Dual Standby) is a dual-SIM design used in phones and cellular data devices where both SIMs can stay registered to the network while idle so either line can receive inbound service. When one SIM is actively in use (call or data session, depending on the device), the other SIM typically becomes temporarily unavailable until the active session ends.
