Last Update: September 24, 2016
Unlimitedville is a small company out of Tennessee that has been providing cellular services to folks in rural areas who can't get cable or DSL services. They've just recently become aware of the RVing market, and that our needs are similar.
The are always seeking out unlimited data options for their customers, and this page will be kept updated with their offerings.
An independent Facebook User Group for Unlimitedville has opened up, where you can talk with others using this plan.
At present time, they are the only entity we know of offering unlimited data plans on all four carriers for each one-stop shopping. Here's what we know about each of the plans they offer:
Sprint 'Yellow' Business Plan
October 3, 2016 Update: Unlimitedville has switched their 'Yellow' plan to be a $100/month prepaid rental option. It is available to businesses and consumers on a month-to-month basis. The direct with Sprint business contract plan is no longer available.
Here are important terms of this service to understand:
- There is an upfront mobile hotspot device purchase required - and the stock varies as to what is offered for devices.
- There are no caps or speed throttling applicable, you will get the full 4G LTE data speeds dependent upon local tower conditions
- There are no contracts or credit checks.
- WiFinderPlanet: Another company has been advertising their very similar unlimited plan - WiFinderPlanet within the RVing community. It seems to be a very similar deal.
Verizon 'Red' Consumer Plan
This $250/month is a rental/lease of a Verizon unlimited data line on their grandfathered corporate account, with an upfront $250 device purchase of a AC791L.
They claim they are officially authorized by Verizon to rent out these lines, which is why the price is higher than you might find elsewhere. It is available to anyone - individuals and businesses.
With this plan, you setup a re-occuring payment with Unlimitedville, and are not a direct customer of the carrier.
Testing Status: At this point, we have not requested an evaluation unit of this plan. There are other Verizon unlimited data options on the market at cheaper monthly prices we recommend instead: Our Guide to Verizon Unlimited Data Plans.
T-Mobile 'Purple' Plan
This $150/month plan in a rental plan on T-Mobile's network. . Unlimitedville has confirmed with us that this is on T-Mobile, and their description claims it is unlimited with no throttling. It does not include the 'Mobile Without Borders' feature for high speed data in Canada & Mexico, but unlimited slow speeds internationally is supported.
It requires a $150 device purchase of a ZTE 917 upfront, and then you setup a re-occuring PayPal payment to Unlimitedville. You are renting/leasing the line from them, not becoming a direct T-Mobile customer. It is available to anyone - individuals and businesses.
Testing Status - May 2016: Unlimitedville has sent us their T-Mobile plan to test out. We have confirmed that it only works at slow speeds in Canada (while our native T-Mobile plan worked at full LTE) - and we will be conducting some high bandwidth usage on it in the coming months.
AT&T 'Blue' Plan
This $200/month plan in a rental plan on AT&T's network. . Unlimitedville has confirmed with us that this is on AT&T, and their description claims it is unlimited with no throttling. They have also told us their plan is not subject to network management.
