For years, Verizon has held our top ranking as the first choice carrier for RVers and Cruisers who travel the US extensively. They had earned this ranking based on their wider coverage map and feedback in groups & forums.
However, in the past couple of years other carriers have offered suitable data plans and have continued to expand their networks.
We are conducting a survey for the month of November 2018 to get your feedback on how you utilize your US based cellular data plans to determine how we should continue to present them in our content.
We want our content to reflect how RVers and cruisers keep online across the nation, as opposed to our best guess based on what we see shared in forums & groups.
Please do keep in mind we are focused on mobile internet access here - the data part of your cellular plans - not necessarily your phone service. And we are focused on the four major carriers (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint) - regardless if you use plans directly purchased from them, through a MVNO or reseller.
When you're ready, go take the survey here - it shouldn't take more than a few minutes:
Thank you so much - your feedback helps us help our nomadic community better!
And please.. do share the survey with your RVing, cruising and nomadic friends. Share in groups and forums you are part of that allow sharing links.
The more data we can collect, the better. You can share this article by clicking the share buttons above, or just share out the address of the survey at:
Here's a quick video explaining more about this project:
The survey is anonymous, we're collecting no user identifiable information - we're just asking about your travel style, mobile internet needs and how you utilize the four major nationwide carriers Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint in your travels.
Once the survey wraps up, we'll be taking the data into mind as we revise our various guides to the carriers. It may impact little things throughout the site - like does Verizon continue to be listed first when we share about the carriers?
Here are some of the guides that will be most influenced by this survey, and where you can dive into more of our content:
