Review: SMA Connectors (Accessories)

The small and versatile SMA Connector is very commonly found on mobile internet gear. It is used by Pepwave, Cradlepoint, and MoFi to attach antennas to cellular routers, and also used by most weBoost cellular boosters such as the weBoost Drive 4G-X or Drive 4G-S.

Typically the router or booster will have an SMA-Female connector, meaning that the antenna cable will need to have an SMA-Male end to successfully mate.

An SMA-Male connector has a protruding central pin, and a rotating barrel that spins to tighten the connection.
