Global Marine Networks has a reputation in the marine market for satellite technology. This is their Wi-Fi extending option, with a claimed up to 7 mile range available for RVs and boats.
The WiFi receiving component is a USB powered WiFi radio that can connect directly to a single computer to get it online, or it can act as a WiFi-as-WAN receiver when paired with the "USB Repeater" RedPort Optimizer module which then acts as a router, creating a local WiFi network so that multiple devices can get online and share the upstream connection.
At first look, this appears to be a similar kit offered by Alfa, marketed as the WiFi Camp Pro for half the cost. It appears the Halo system perhaps has some custom firmware and a slightly more powerful external antenna.
